Irlanda presenta un tema diferente para la 68ª edición de Eurovisión. Irlanda ha participado en cada edición desde 1965, excepto en dos, en 1983 y en 2002. Es uno de los países más laureados del evento, ha participado en la final en 30 ocasiones y en siete (1970-1980-1987-1992-1993-1994-1996) de ellas ha salido vencedor. Además, es uno de los pocos países que ha ganado siendo anfitrión.

Bambie Thug es quien va a representar a los irlandeses en Eurovisión 2024. 'Doomsday Blue' es el tema elegido, una mezcla de estilos que denomina como 'ouija pop'. Bambie hace historia al ser la primera persona no binaria que participa en Eurovisión. El día 7 de mayo actúa en cuarta posición en busca de un hueco en la gran final.
