Chipre busca una nueva oportunidad de alzarse con el micrófono de cristal. Este país participa en el certamen musical más famoso del mundo por 37ª vez, de las que en 30 ocasiones ha actuado en la final. Su debut fue en 1981 y desde entonces ha estado presente en todas las ediciones, excepto en 1988, cuando fue descalificado.

Chipre realiza la actuación inaugural de la primera semifinal el día 7 de mayo. Para Eurovisión 2024, apuesta por una chica australiana con raíces chipriotas, la más joven de esta edición. Silia Kapsis, de 17 años, con su tema 'Liar' busca la primera victoria de su país.
